Michael Parekowhai has a new installation "Semi-Centennial Street; Living in a Mike P Day" at Ryder salon.
The title is homage to the famous-in-Auckland Centennial Street at the Auckland War Memorial Museum. A streetscape we’ve all visited and marvelled at.
"The installation is about being on the outside looking in at desirable objects; an art practice spanning 25 years; and long periods of time (semi-centennial) and short moments (a day) co-existing in the same space,"
Ryder are situated at 56 Customs Street East, Britomart.
