Las Vegas
Las Vegas Strip Club is a landmark on Karangahape Road. Five decades old - give or take and arguably Auckland's first strip bar.
It is definitely woven into the fabric of Auckland’s seedier side. It’s history could fill a book.
Now the site and aspects of that history have been reinvigorated into a new club / bar. The toilets have been refurbished and there is some nice new leather booth seating.
The beer is better, although they still serve Lion Brown, and the acts are just as weird; they just have Instagram accounts now.
It is still a little bit grubby, which is interesting, but as a late night drinking venue it feels like a good spot to end your night; only to see it start all over again and then you’re in a taxi and the birds are singing kind of place.
