Icon Awards
My Art Friend and I attended the Arts Foundation Icon Awards at Government House on Friday evening.
We go to these events to make ourselves feel younger, most patrons and supporters of the Arts in New Zealand are a lot older.
This year there were 5 Icons awarded to Architect Ian Athfield, Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, Dr Cliff Whiting, Jacqueline Fahey and Geoff Murphy.
Wandering around Goverment House was interesting; Nice full size snooker table and fancy carpet.
We summised it had probably been earthquake strengthened as well but didn't sit under the Chandelier just in case.
