Ak 2
I was supposed to be at the launch of AK2 last night, as one of the participants picked to give my two cents on what I loved about Auckland.
As it turned out I was running late due to a meeting running over time, overseeing a stocktake, being stuck in traffic and having to take my son to Basketball. I guess that makes me an Aucklander.
The survey, of sorts, selected some of Auckland's most high-profile locals to share their thoughts on Auckland and where they thought it was heading.
A total of 50 people - including politicians, professionals, chefs, musicians, artists and time poor Menswear retailers were asked a series of questions.
The theme was to help discuss and define a new Auckland, one we are all proud of.
Interestingly most people, when prompted about what city they would like to most live in, do not say the one they are living in. Personally I love living here.
A précis of the report can be read here.
