Places To Eat: Chocola
by Murray Crane
Chocola is one such place hidden away in a car park (by a railway track) behind a Dove Hospice and next to a Fruit World in Glen Innes. It’s a world away from Auckland's traditional dining strips and even further from Mexico, but if you’re after authentic and delicious Mexican food then look no further.
Try everything at this husband and wife run cantina; the enchiladas and tacos are both excellent, as are the freshly squeezed juices, and of course the chocolate. They’re open weekends only for 4 hours a day, so plan a lunch around this relatively narrow window and just go - you won't regret it.
