Fortela is an Italian clothing brand that specialises in creating timeless and durable pieces with a focus on artisanal craftsmanship, Americana and workwear. The brand was founded in 2015 by designer Alessandro Squarzi, who has a deep passion for vintage clothing.
The Otero shirt is a chambray shirt inspired by the tumultuous 1940s, when during the Second World War it found its consecration in the uniforms of the American navy, combined with dark denim, white t-shirt and blue wool sweater, and then arrived on the big screen in the roaring '50s, worn by style icons such as James Dean, Steve McQueen and Marlon Brando.
Entirely produced in Japan, the shirt reinterprets the vintage-cult style and becomes an essential evergreen in every wardrobe, combining tradition, craftsmanship and avant-garde.
It is made of 100% cotton chambray, a light, soft and resistant fabric that has a plain weave with blue warp threads and white weft threads which, woven thickly and compactly, give the garment a particular iridescent effect, also called “frosted effect”.
