The Cold Weather Essential: Leather Gloves
Gloves are an essential item in any man's winter wardrobe, and although you won’t wear them every day, when the cold weather bites, it's good to know you have them on hand (so to speak).
A bit like tailoring, a good pair of gloves is all about the fit: they should be snug with some ease for your fingers. It’s important to note that there will be some stretching (similar to shoes) over time and that they will mould to your hand. So treat them like a new pair of shoes and get measured as we offer a full range of sizes. To find out your glove size, measure (in inches) around your hand with a tape measure across your palm. You should use your dominant hand.
Most leather gloves have a lining inside made from wool or polyester. Ours are cashmere lined, offering superior comfort and sweat absorption, which is helpful, if you are wearing them for long periods, they will keep your hands warmer as well.
Our gloves are handmade in the historic village of Cremnago, located in Lombardy, Italy. Made from Nappa Leather in Mocca Brown or Black and Suede in Tobacco and Black.
In terms of outfit pairing; brown is best worn with casual outfits such as peacoats, denim and sneakers, whereas black is the preferred pairing with suiting and formal attire.
