Softly Tailored: Unstructured & Garment Dyed
As menswear continues to transform itself into a more casual and unstructured version of itself, we’ve been working hard to design garments that fit the brief. Our Standard program has addressed the needs of many wanting a casual blazer, but we felt that we wanted something a little more elevated with a softer handle. We’ve added a new unconstructed blazer and a chino program with trans-seasonal wear in mind, and we hope that these latest additions will provide a smart and casual solution that you will be reaching for every morning.
Garment-dyeing creates a worn-in look that is soft to the touch; this technique involves immersing whole-made garments into high tech tanks filled with a colour pigment; they are dyed together in batches to keep their colouring consistent. After the dyeing process the garments are then washed to ensure no excess dye is present; this results in a gorgeous soft faded look. It also allows us to develop our own palette and create something special.
The Sage Green Washed Cotton Blazer and Dark Grey Washed Cotton Blazer are completely unconstructed, which means there is no lining, no canvassing and no shoulder padding. This allows the blazer to be extremely comfortable hugging your natural shoulder line and draping to your body. We’ve shortened the length a little and have opted for a denser pick stitch detail and finished the blazer with patch pockets - all of these elements build a more casual aesthetic.
The Washed Cotton Chino offers comfort and versatility. Finished with an extended waistband closure, belt loops, side entry and back pockets, these chinos are our classic design with a higher rise allowing for a more tailored shape. The colour palette ranges from a deep punchy blue, cinnamon brown, a soft sand and steel grey, all are solid base colours to pair with an array of patterns and tones.
We’d recommend pairing these two new items as a contrasting colour with a suede loafer and your choice of shirt or fine merino knit - if you can’t decide you can always layer with both.
