Park Life
Auckland Transport have actually done something sensible with the announcement of changes to their parking by laws for the central city.
From November 19 the following changes are being made to central city parking.
No time limits for Pay & Display parking. If you need to stay longer, now you can. Just pay for what you need.
Low prices for short stays. You won't pay more than $4 per hour for the first two hours.
New grace period. If you are parking for less than 10 minutes you do not need to pay.
Simplified parking signage.
Easier to find on-street parking in evenings. Parking meters apply until 10pm.
Promotional period for inner city parking buildings including Victoria Car Park ( which is on the corner of High Street and Victoria Street ).
$2.00 per hour on the weekend.
