Michael Parekowhai
I went to Michael Parekowhai's latest exhibition last night. It was a site specific installation at Michael Lett gallery.
Beautifully manufactured it is an extension of earlier concepts (rods and rabbits).
I love the idea of Michael designing a collection of toys for Kid Robot:
Founded in 2002 by designer Paul Budnitz, Kidrobot is the world's premier creator of limited edition art toys. Kidrobot creates toys in collaboration with many of the world's most talented artists and designers.
It would be a great collection.
