Market Lead
I popped into pencil boutique yesterday as I was excited to see how it looked.
It is run by Pebbles Hooper the daughter of Francis and Denise, the creators of World. Pebbles is almost New Zealand retailing royalty, a second generation purveyor of fashionable and interesting nick nacks, in this case Pencils, Erasers and all types of Stationery. Pebbles pencil emporium is well worth a visit, there is a great array of most things related to writing, drawing and doodling. Being a keen scribbler myself I was like a kid in a candy shop.
Speaking of Candy and retailing; the Hooper name stretches back even further than being a cupboard in a High Street arcade. Mr Hooper owned a very successful store on the hit television series Sesame Street. In another alarming coincidence he has a pencil in his pocket.
