Making A Tit Of Themselves
Images of Piri Weepu bottle-feeding his baby have been axed after protests by breastfeeding fundamentalists (which is what they are).
La Leche League, a pro-breastfeeding organisation, has taken offence with film showing the All Black feeding a bottle of milk to his 6-month-old daughter.
The brief scene has been cut from an anti-smoking ad, due to complaints from the league.
One email said: "The damage that this shot of a celebrity All Black will do to breastfeeding in New Zealand Aotearoa will be significant."
I am sorry but what kind of PC bullshit is that? Piri Weepu doesn't have man breasts and this isn't a formula debate.
He is a Maori man advocating smoke free homes and supporting his partner.
Isn't that the bigger and better message here?
La Leche League don't seem to be abreast of this issue.
