June
As Winter really starts to bite it's important to share with you all the development and achievements in our business this year.
This year we have moved into our new head office premises situated in Central Auckland. This beautiful heritage building houses 6 full time staff working across administration and tailoring.
We are also developing a new private showroom space that will launch in August. This space will be used for private appointments for our new Couture service; this service allows us to offer a full handmade garment and is part of our Made in Italy program headed by John Mangham.
John has just returned from Florence, Italy where he visited Pitti Uomo, the world's largest and most prestigious menswear symposium, and met with our partners and suppliers. As well as seeing what trends are being forecast for the coming season it's a great opportunity to breath in some warm air and remind ourselves of the importance that Italian production and flair plays in our business.
We continue to believe in our decision, as a brand, not to manufacture in China preferring to offer a unique artisanal product. New product development remains a big part of our focus, this year we have introduced new product lines including a Custom Made Footwear program and later this year a Custom made denim program.
We now operate out of four facilities in Italy from as far South as Salerno to Bergamo in the North. All our deliveries are aggregated out of a central port in Amsterdam and we are delivering more efficiently and faster (weekly) by doing this. We have employed a full time Production Manager fluent in Italian who manages this process.
Our Christchurch Store has now been open nearly six months and is performing well even with the ongoing challenges of the rebuild. We are looking forward to Oxford Terrace being totally open by September.
We continue to work with some great brand partners on a professional and personal level including Jaguar, NZSO and Huka Lodge as well as some exciting new International brands.
Look out for some exciting announcements to come here.
