Gordon Walters: New Vision
Gordon Walters is widely renowned as one of New Zealand’s most important modernist painters.
Over six decades he explored the potential of a few simple geometric elements with a singular focus, creating works of exactitude and refinement.
The acclaimed exhibition - Gordon Walters: New Vision has now moved from Dunedin to Auckland and is the first comprehensive survey of the artist’s complete body of work.
His original black and white koru paintings from the 1960s are exhibited alongside never-before-seen paintings, studies and notebooks.
On at the Auckland Gallery till November.
