Auckland Restaurant Month
Auckland Restaurant Month kicked off last evening with a walking degustation at Restaurant Du Jour Roxy.
Head Chefs from Euro, District Dining, Depot, Everybody's and the Grove served up small but perfectly formed examples of their dishes for all to enjoy (or at least those lucky enough to get an invite). There was a real buzz in the air and it was great to see the different chefs sharing equipment and staff to make the evening a success.
My Art Friend was particularly impressed by the speed at which her vegetarian requests were addressed.
Lets hope everyone gets out there and supports all the great Restaurants Auckland now has, especially in the central city which, as many of you may recall, was a virtual culinary wasteland less than 5 years ago.
