The Town Mouse is a new Melbourne restaurant set up by Christian Mcabe with friends and family.
Christian was one of the original partners in Wellington institution: Matterhorn.
I caught up with Christian last time I was in Melbourne to fit him for a suit for his wedding to artist Kelly Thompson.
I am back there in a couple of weeks for a night and a day and are already looking at the menu to see what I want to order.
I think I will have the Milk roasted berkshire pig leg with saffron braised shallots, capers & yoghurt followed by the Honey figs, poached fig meringue, soured orange juice, salted caramel ice cream.
