Sending My Regards
Our show at Fashion Week tomorrow will be the first show I haven't been present at in 15 years.
Someone, whose opinion I respect, emailed congratulating me on the fact that I must have a great team around me to be able to leave the country assured in the knowledge that everything was in hand. I do.
My right hand man, on all matters Crane, Ben St George is fantastic support and will be running things again in my absence. But his influence extends much further than that with very little of what we make or show not being vetted by him and subsequently thrashed out and argued down to the smallest detail.
The team though is bigger than any one person and everyone deserves a mention. Ben has great support from Jordan Gibson, Matt Choi, Ivan Luketina - Johnston, Chris, Sean, Zayyar, Aidan and all the other staff who manage and work in the stores.
Susan and Siobhan run the administration and accounts and there are the tailors Maeve, Lydia and Farheen who never compromise. Rob whose 40 plus years experience means he is always tweaking and tinkering with things and Toni my Production Manager runs things with a strong hand and eye.
We have all had our moments with each other. I am not the easiest person to work for but I respect all my team as hard working and passionate individuals and I am immensely proud of the effort they have all put in.
