How To Make The Perfect Negroni
Spring calls for a Negroni – legend has it that the drink was named in Florence in the 1930s for Count Negroni, who asked for his Americano to have extra gin.
Cam Timmins, barman extraordinaire for the City Terrace in the Seafarers Building and its sister bar Fukuko, makes probably the best in town.
Timmins recommends:
40ml Plymouth gin
30ml Antica Formula Sweet Vermouth
30ml of Campari.
Build in a short glass over a block of ice, then stir to mix. Add an orange zest so you get a brilliant citrus oil hit over the top.
