Art in store

We've always believed that exceptional spaces deserve exceptional art. Featured throughout our stores are works by artists whose approach to form, craft, and creativity aligns with our own values.

Billy Apple® (1935–2021), a pioneer of Pop and Conceptual art, transformed himself into a registered trademark, exploring the intersection of art, commerce, and identity alongside figures like Andy Warhol.

Dan Arps (b. 1976), winner of the 2010 Walters Prize, transforms discarded materials into sculptures and installations that challenge assumptions about value and craft.

Gordon Walters (1919–1995), one of New Zealand's most significant modernist painters, spent thirty years exploring the koru motif—fusing Māori decorative forms with European geometric abstraction in visually striking works held in major collections worldwide.

Martino Gamper (b. 1971), an Italian-born, London-based furniture designer, champions sustainability and experimentation through projects like "100 Chairs in 100 Days," proving that exceptional design can emerge from existing resources.

These artists share a commitment to craft, an understanding of materials, and a willingness to question convention—values that drive everything we do at Crane Brothers.
