Welcome to Shoe Shop

We believe good design is mostly a matter of restraint. Clean lines, considered shapes, and nothing that doesn’t earn its place. It is how we approach our clothing, and it is how we approached our shoes.

Footwear has always been part of Crane Brothers collections. As the range grew, it made sense to give it a space of its own. Shoe Shop is that space.

It lives inside our High Street store and online, a store within a store dedicated to footwear. You’ll find our best-selling loafers and Oxfords alongside seasonal pieces, occasion shoes and the odd guest brand. Almost any style can be customised, in sizes 4 to 14.

Present Tense designed the identity, and Tāmaki Makaurau artist Christian Dimick created the artwork. His drawings explore the weird world of feet, with a sense of humour we liked immediately. Feet are strange. Good shoes make them less so.

You’ll find his work on the boxes, tissue and tote, a set of postcards and the care guide that comes with every first pair. Keep an eye out for the posters around the city.

Looking after your shoes matters as much as choosing them. We stock and recommend Saphir, the international gold standard in shoe care, and our specialist partners handle repairs. We also carry Marcoliani and Bresciani socks, made in Italy and exclusive to us in New Zealand.
