At Home: Modern Australian Design
If you happen to be in Sydney this weekend, make sure to visit ‘At Home: Modern Australian Design at Old Government House’.
Curated by former Editor-in-Chief of Vogue Living, the exhibition is being held at Old Government House in Parramatta, one of the earliest convict-built buildings in Australia, containing some of the country’s earliest handcrafted furniture.
This formidable collection of Georgian furniture has been offset with pieces by some of Australia’s leading industrial designers and artists, providing guests with a visual journey spanning over 200 years.
Furnishings, fittings, textiles, arts and crafts designed and made in Australia predominantly in the past 25 years, have been carefully curated to create a dialogue between the original furnishings of this grand old house.
The exhibition runs only until Sunday 22nd January, so be certain not to miss out.
