Mid Century Modern
I picked up a copy of Mid Century Modern this week from Unity Books.
It is a definitive survey of one of the last millennium's most influential design periods covering furniture, lighting, glass, ceramics, textiles, product design, industrial design, graphics, and posters, as well as architecture and interior design.
All the great names are represented: Robin Day, Charles and Ray Eames, Marimekko, Noguchi, Dieter Rams as well as architects Alvar Aalto, Philip Johnson, Richard Neutra and Oscar Niemeyer.
A great resource and source of inspiration.
